Information on the Option for Online Dispute Resolution as per Article 14 , Para. 1, ODR Regulation

By means of the (EU) Regulation No. 524/2013 a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR platform) was introduced on the European Union level. This platform serves as central contact point for consumers and traders to extrajudicially resolve any disputes concerning contractual obligations emerged from online purchase agreements and online service agreements. You, as consumer, may utilise the ODR platform as an option; hence, you are not obligated to file complaints via this platform. More details as to the modalities on how to exercise the functions of the OD platform and how to apply the electronic complaints form, may be looked up in the (EU) Directive 2015/1051 of the EU commission issued in this context.
The ODR platform is accessible under this target address: https://ec.europa.eu/odr

The European Commission holds a list with recognised dispute resolution bodies in Europe. This includes numerous bodies listed for Germany, for instance. In addition, there is a German national list of dispute regulation bodies, offered by the Bundesamt für Justiz (German Federal Office for Justice) as central contact point for consumer dispute regulation.

The list of the consumer dispute regulation bodies recognised in Germany may be accessed and downloaded via the following official website of the German Federal Ministry of Justice:  https://www.bundesjustizamt.de/DE/SharedDocs/Publikationen/Verbraucherschutz/Liste_Verbraucherschlichtungsstellen.pdf?_blob=publicationFile&v=2

The pan-European list of recognised dispute regulation bodies is available under: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.adr.show
